Walking Journal
Welcome to our class's Walking Journal. This is the place where we can post comments about books that we have read. Please take time to read our responses and make some comments of your own. We look forward to seeing what you have to say about our books that we enjoy in class!
We are in the process of reading No Talking by Andrew Clements. It is a story of a group of 5th grade boys and a group of 5th grade girls competing to see which group can go two days saying the least amount of words. Who do you think would win at Powers Ferry? Why? What would be the challenges of not talking for 2 days?

1. The boys
2. Because the boys don't talk as much as the girls!
3. Not talking to the people who talk to me!
Comment- Boys rule!!

I think the boys would win because they are so competitive. I mean if a girl says one word they will catch it. The hard thing would be at lunch where the lunch ladies only catch the boys never the girls. The boys would get caught more because we play loud games like Naruto.

I think the girls would win at POWERS FERRY.I think the girls would win because the girls could brobaly be quieter longer than the boys. The challenges would be if you could not talk at home or in the house. Or not being able to talk to your mom or your dad. But the only diffucult thing is not talking on the phone to your family.

I think the girl will win because they have the less number of points. Also it would be hard because you can only say three words to your parents.

I am injoying this book and i think the girls would win. I think girls would win because we can play dirty tricks on the boys. I think it will be tricky because it should be hard to stop talking since we talk a lot.

What I think about who would win if the girls went agaist the boys I think the boys would win.I'm not jusy saying that because i'm a boy i'm saying this because the girls always have some thing to talk about and they always gossipunlike boyson't have to talk about anything.I mean the boys can just play aroud with each other that is my opion

I think maybe that both of them would ouit and stop the contest between the boys and the girls because we HAVE to talk. Well I think I have to talk alot. I mean most of my life is talking. The challenges would be you could ONLY say 10 or less words, but if you talk to the teachers you could say how many words you like.
