Welcome to Mrs. Moffett's Guidance Deparement Page
Hi! My name is Kristin Moffett and I am a full time guidance counselor for Powers Ferry Elementary. I provide classroom guidance for 3rd - 5th grade, however, I see all our Powers Ferry students for individual assistance and group work. Parents are always welcome and I would be glad to provide any assistance for you or you child. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns, or to set up an appointment.
Guidance Program & Services
The Guidance Department at Powers Ferry Elementary is designed and dedicated to assist students by removing barriers to learning. We provide these services through four different areas:
- Individual Counseling
- Group Counseling
- Group Guidance
- Classroom Guidance
In addition, the Guidance Department coordinates different school-wide programs throughout the year to raise awareness and instruct safety skills to our students.
- Weekly - Life Skills Education
- October - Bullying Prevention Week
- October 30 - November 3 - National Red Ribbon Week (Drug Awareness)
- Janurary - No Name Calling Week
- May - Career Week
